Observed on June 5 every year, the World Environment Day offers a global platform for inspiring positive change. It is known that the biggest issue facing humankind is climate change. With rising temperatures and sea levels, there are entire communities that are at fear of being wiped out. Entire ecosystems have already been destroyed and flora and fauna have been severely affected.

“Resetting humanity’s relationship with nature will be the focus of #WorldEnvironmentDay , which also marks the launch of the @UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration, a global push to prevent, halt and reverse ecosystem degradation,” tweeted the official account of UN Environment Programme.

On this day, we take a look at some Bollywood celebrities who are doing their bit for the environment.
